About the Choir

Savridi Singers
The Savridi Singers is an auditioned women's chorus that was established in 1986 to honour the memory of University of Calgary vocal professor and performer Polyna Savridi. The Savridi Singers encourage and promote the development of choral music through training and performance. Our focus is on creating and performing beautiful and inspiring music.

Our group proudly highlights emerging Canadian talent and often shares the stage with fellow Calgary artists. We strive to give back to the community by offering performances supporting organizations such as the Calgary Inter Faith Food Bank, Calgary Kids Cancer Care Foundation, Carewest Musical Therapy Program and in March, the Calgary Breast Health Program.

Performance Commitments

The Savridi Singers perform two concerts annually. We also appear at conventions, corporate functions and benefits such as the Remembrance Day Service at the Museum of the Regiments and the annual CBC Knox Carol Festival.

The group has performed within the community over the years at the Kiwanis Festival, Choralfest South and most recently in Calgary Sings! 2009. We strive to give back to the community by offering performances supporting organizations such as the Calgary Inter Faith Food Bank, Calgary Kids Cancer Care Foundation, Carewest Musical Therapy Program and the Calgary Breast Health Program.
